And, then, the world stood at a stand-still...

 

ghosts came alive and danced with the Devils in my head, my Volition got caught in the (cross)fire of my Sins; words hung from my tongue's slipstream - desperately waiting to stand and feel their worth, my broken lungs heaved the shadows of my recklessness; Desire wandered the halls of my loneliness, my Faith stumbled into the Bedlam of my lost causes; wounds grew and led me to the flood -- to drown in (the) heartbreak of my prayers...

 

Alas, (her) Silence awakened: filling the empty spaces between my sighs, tripping over my (head)wires, and heeding a warning -- "Lover, you should have come over sooner..."
